I think not. You need to pass certain exams like CAT(Certified Acctg. Technician), CB (certified bookkeeper) and the like. It actually depends on what your specialization is like taxation, payroll, auditing etc. But if you like not to take the exams it's fine. You may still go and work there but with a limited scope only.
